A FEW DETAILS

WHAT IS MY GOAL?

My coaching is an effort to build a tribe of like minded people. This begins at the level of our one-on-one relationship. This is the core. We meet once a month in person (local or zoom). Then we communicate throughout the month.

For those who choose, we meet as a group also once a month to collaborate and fellowship — and have fun. Iron sharpens iron. This tribal aspect is really where people truly succeed and make a difference in their own lives and in the world.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

I realize that the fees might seem expensive for some. Nothing in life is free. So, this way is not for everyone. Some are self starters and thrive alone, or with little nudge. Some of us need more than a nudge. I disclose cost information during an initial phone call — the "Discovery Call" — where we see if we're a fit. Let's get the important business out of the way — and I don't mean money. Do you really want to change your life? That is the question — not a dollar sign.

Though I believe everyone should be on a productive life path, I also know that not everyone knows where to start, or how to put good ideas into a practical structure in their lives. That's where coaches can help. If you are struggling, maybe it's time to stop, and let someone help.

WHAT IS MY INVESTMENT?

You will be asked to do hard things. After some time, they will become your normal. I won't say they will stop being hard, but they will be a way of life. The difference is this: if what you are doing now is not working, it's time to make a serious shift. This "path" is a realignment — a move toward the way you are built. Most of the personal and public culture of our time is not in alignment with our build as a human. There is much to say on this topic, and we'll cover it. A simple example is sleep. Sleep should align with our biology, not our novel interests that disrupt natural rhythms, hormone stability — all which lead to a myriad of health problems. There are many areas of physical and spiritual life, that if addressed and reshaped, can radically improve our lives and bring us back into an alignment with our birthright to good health.

This is our investment: to do the work and develop the habits that agree with our design as humans. Or, put another way, to live and behave the way humans were built for.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THESE HABITS?

Daily practices take time. Don't rush this. Each has a role to play by itself, but together good habits (the way we optimally function) act like a well performing orchestra. They harmonize and compliment each other.

A few are:

Hard work; daily movement; good, whole, natural food; outside time; solid sleep; healthy relationships.

Volumes have been written on all of these. There are others, for sure. And, though these are positive "to dos", there are certainly negative "don'ts" as well. We'll cover all of this.

SO WHAT'S THE HARD PART?

Execution.

This is where people can't seem to make it work. All the brightest ideas, but no discipline or follow through. The work is temporary. If you lift a barbell for 10 reps and 3 sets, it's temporary. It's over in a couple of minutes. That's an instance of hardness. It's over before you know it. It's not rocket science to buy a good cut of meat and some healthy vegetables. It's another thing to stop yourself from buying what you know is junk food that will wreck your body.

This is where you need a coach, and better yet — a tribe.
